Testimonials

"In interacting with Korey I found him to be a godly man of integrity with a deep understanding of the

devastating effects addiction has on individuals and families. Korey's story is an amazing testimony of God's

grace and ability to change the lives of those who are hopelessly addicted. As he spoke about his own life

experiences including the death of his mother, he came across as very real and raw. Since coming to know

Christ he has become someone who is joyful, grateful, and now founded the D.A.M.A.G.E. program that is

changing lives. During the question and answer time at the end of the service our residents had many thoughtful

questions for Korey, and Korey had honest answers. I recommend Korey Sufka as a speaker. I believe his story is

a powerful tool that can be used to inform adults and teenagers about the horrors of making bad decisions and

the healing power of God."  -Isabelle Kranz Chapel Coordinator Minnesota Teen Challenge

"Korey, I just wanted to let you know that my daughter that attends Royalton High School heard your testimony the

other day when you were there. It moved her and it really sunk in, we were still talking about you last night. Thanks

for doing this! However you are talking to these kids, it is getting through! Keep up the good work!"  -Judy Duevel

"The message Korey shared at HOOPS CHURCH last Sunday was amazing! That was the most young men that

have attended the teaching portion of the church. They are normally a rowdy bunch of young men, but not that

night. From the moment Korey started speaking to his inspiring closing prayer, those men "heard" the

message of hope! Korey's message of hope transcends color barriers, financial status and educational backgrounds.

There are a lot of different backgrounds represented in this church, but we all control our future with the decisions

we make today. Korey's story really hit home with a lot of these young men and the seeds planted will no doubt

bring fruit. It finally took Korey making a decision and taking action with God's help before his life was changed.

Thanks again Korey for sharing your story and God Bless you and your daughter! -Keith Rock Oak Grove/Hoops Church

"Holdingford High School Jr./Sr. High students had an opportunity, the morning of April 3rd, 2009 to hear a thought

provoking presentation by Korey Sufka, a motivational speaker and author. Korey founded the

POWERLESS to PURPOSE program and his riveting presentation provided a message about the reality

of hurt and harm caused due to making poor choices. He emphasized the fact that alcohol use---not marijuana---is the

entry level chemical for drug users and teenagers should stay away from alcohol all together. Mr. Sufka, a central Minnesote

native, shared his story of in a manner that caused the student body to reflect on their own values and priorities. Korey

asked the students to look to their right, and to their left, to see if they were sitting next to a friend. A show of hands

indicated that most students were. He then informed them that more than likely those were the people who would offer

them their first drugs---not some dealer from the Cities. Korey Sufka advised the listeners to go home and have a conversation

with their parents to develop strategies to deal with alcohol/drug situations that they may encounter in a variety of social

settings. Students were encouraged to have an agreement, with their parent/guardian, to come and get them if they felt they

were in a vulnerable chemical use circumstance. Korey Sufka's presentation, to our 7-12 student body, was moving and thought

provoking. I would highly recommend Mr. Sufka's talk to any junior/senior high school."  -Patrick Vandrovec

Holdingford Jr./Sr. High School Principal

"Korey, I just wanted to thank you for speaking at Albany Jr. and Sr. High School. Your presentation of your struggles and

triumphs touched the hearts of so many staff members and students.  I think this is wonderful that you are willing to share

your story with others. I truly hope that this story will be the story that many of our students remember. I also hope that

this will help our students to make better choices. Again, the presentation was excellent and so was your ability to answer

questions." -Jessica Savolainen Albany Jr./Sr. High Counselor

“While working with a group of youth that were developing a Mental Health Awareness campaign for their school, I had the unique

pleasure of hearing Korey Sufka’s message. Korey has a rare ability to connect with his audience (youth and adults) that pulls you

in with personal testimony, raw and open emotion mixed with messages of hope and healing. Korey is very honest and very, very real.

Korey’s personal story is very much one of redemption, determination and hard work. If you want to educate your community, school,

youth group, parent group about substance abuse and recovery, I highly recommend inviting Korey Sufka to your event!

"When my mother died, she never really had a chance in a physical sense to ever see me do

anything positive with my life. I feel that each time I share my story it gives HOPE to those who may be

struggling and INSPIRE others to keep making positive choices. More importantly, it is what my mom would

have wanted me to do, and through this her legacy lives on."   -Korey Sufka
